The Butler County Health Department is composed of two clinics with five programs: Children’s immunizations, Well Child Program, Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment program (EPSDT), Tuberculosis Program, and the Adult Health Program.
The Children’s Immunizations Program is offered to infants, children, and teenagers until the age of 18. No patients are turned away because of the inability to pay. The Well Child Program offers its comprehensive well-child care services for Infants to 21 years of age provided by a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurses and a Certified Nutritionist. This program offers Physical examination for Growth & Development. School Physicals, Sports Physicals, and, Camp Physicals can be obtained through this program.
The Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment program (EPSDT) is offered at the Rosin Health Center. This program offers services for Speech, hearing, vision, and developmental screenings. Laboratory tests and related procedures such as: Sickle Cell, lead, hemoglobin, urinalysis, cholesterol, glucose, liver enzymes are performed at this center. Patients can also benefit from the Immunizations & Tuberculosis screenings. Apart from this services patient can seek help in Nutritional assessment / counseling and Parenting guidance / referrals.
The Rosin Health center also offers the Tuberculosis Program. Patients can receive TB Skin Tests, evaluation by a physician, medications, and further testing as necessary. The Adult Health Program is conveniently offered at this center. The Adult Health Program is comprised of the following services: Hypertension Screening / Education, Anemia & Diabetes, Height and Weight, Immunizations, and Referrals.
